Help working out weathe a shot works

as im currently working on my story board and overall narrative iv just came up with this shot im going to add three more soldiers but my poem has a line about "Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge this was going to be the first shot with the soldier walking towards camera then i was gone cut to close up of coughing then to boots in mud but i just wanted to check to see if this image works if the soldier looks like hes knocked knees and not just desperate for the toilet
